William Prince’s Joyous Year Continues

Summer Shows with Neil Young and Norah Jones
Prince Receives John Prine Songwriter Fellowship and Makes Newport Folk Festival Debut

Following his sold out Canadian tour and JUNO Award win, William Prince has yet more big news and great things ahead with touring announcements that include an opening slot for Norah Jones at Toronto’s Bud Stage (June 27, 2024) and a repeat invitation to open for Neil Young, this time at Ottawa Bluesfest (July 11, 2024). Later in July, Prince will make his debut at the storied Newport Folk Festival. As the recipient of this year’s John Prine Songwriter Fellowship, Prince will open the festival’s 2024 edition.

Since the release of Stand in the Joy last year, William Prince has been nominated for Americana Honors & Awards Emerging Act of the Year, Folk Alliance International’s Album of the Year, two JUNO Awards (winning for Contemporary Roots Album of the Year), won three Canadian Folk Music Awards and was most recently nominated for three Western Canadian Music Awards.

Other noteworthy moments include his debut at the Grand Ole Opry, a performance supporting (and sharing the stage with) Willie Nelson at PotLuck and a slot at Luck Reunion, a 20-date tour with The War and Treaty, and sessions presented by the Recording Academy, the Country Music Hall of Fame, No Depression, the Grammy Museum, and more.
