With a new album out and a standing ovation for their Grand Ole Opry debut in the books, The Dead South now set off on the Chains & Stakes World Tour, which will cover North America, Australia and Europe throughout 2024.

The Dead South announce their return to Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, this time for two nights, July 12 and 13, 2024. Tickets will be available to the public on Friday, December 8 at 9am CT. The two shows are an exciting addition to a busy year ahead that will see the band headline major festivals across North America, Australia and Europe, release a new album, make their  live debut in Mexico, and more.

If time heals everything…The Dead South introduce their fourth studio album with “Tiny Wooden Box,” a song that gets right into it with a big hypothetical. The first single and video from forthcoming Chains & Stakes, out February 9, 2024, shows the four-piece in top form in a rolling, roiling “State Trooper” style finger-picked nail-biter.

The Dead South reveal the details of their fourth studio album, Chains & Stakes, out February 9, 2024. The news comes in advance of their largest UK tour to date, which starts with what will be a sold out show at London’s Roundhouse (3,500 cap) on October 27, 2023.

The Dead South announce the first of their 2024 USA tours, this one planned for Feb-Mar 2024. The newly Platinum-certified alternative Americana four-piece will start the new year in high gear, headlining WinterWonderGrass Steamboat along with large shows in cities across the USA including a stop at Austin’s Moody Theatre.

The Dead South have released Easy Listening for Jerks, Parts 1 & 2. While these two collections of songs come from vastly different genres, they’re united both in their themes of struggle and adversity, and by the band’s telltale bluegrass blueprint. 

The Dead South pay their respects to a legendary Nashville tune with their take on “Will The Circle Be Unbroken.” Beginning with gentle guitar-picking and stark vocals which are later joined by cello, banjo, and mandolin, their version takes on a mournful tone that lays bare the folk hymn’s sorrowful story of departure.
