Created by music fans and for music fans, Interstellar Rodeo was a one-of-a-kind festival built from scratch in Winnipeg and Edmonton. Festival founders, Six Shooter Records owners and artist managers Shauna de Cartier and Helen Britton, dreamed big and drilled down into the tiniest details to design an experience worthy of both artists and audiences. Trip the light iconoclastic, Interstellar Rodeo’s 2019 lineup brings dazzlingly creative forces together from July 26-28, 2019. For its eighth edition, Interstellar Rodeo offers a lineup for the musically adventurous and socially engaged. This year, and as annually expected, Interstellar Rodeo’s lineup is a sonically serpentine, genre gambolling convergence of excellence and eclecticism.

Interstellar Rodeo shines the light on the sounds and stories from north of the 60th parallel with this year’s Interlude performers, where artists from the Northwest Territories and Nunavut represent 50% of the Interludes lineup.

Interstellar Rodeo returns to the Heritage Amphitheatre at Hawrelak Park this summer for its SEVENTH year! The festival will be taking place from July 20 to the 22 in Edmonton, AB. Interstellar Rodeo Winnipeg adds to the splashy, flashy, straight-up thriller of a lineup with the announcement of this year’s Interlude performers. This year’s artists further expand the festival’s wide-ranging, genre-flaunting sound and style, with Toronto spoken-word phenom Mustafa The Poet, avant-rocker Ford Pier, celebrated storyteller Oh Susanna and recent Polaris Music Prize nominees Figure Walking.

Interstellar Rodeo Edmonton is thrilled to announce more performers for 2017 with lineup additions that include Toronto-based spoken-word phenom Mustafa The Poet, art-house songwriter Christine Fellows and next-generation newcomer Chloe Doucet. Interstellar’s 2017 Interludes also burst with Alberta talent: Calgary’s road-weathered Leeroy Stagger, harmony-filled roots rockers Northern Beauties and the emotionally charged sounds of Edmonton songwriter Ken Stead will represent the province’s rich musical community.

Interstellar Rodeo returns for its third year in Winnipeg with a KABOOM: today, the festival reveals its 2017 headliners are BECK, BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE and FATHER JOHN MISTY (previously announced). Grammy-winner Beck, a singular force of creativity for decades, has never performed between Ontario and BC. Indie rock progenitors Broken Social Scene have new music out for the first time in seven years, and as previously announced, internationally acclaimed folk/rock provocateur Father John Misty’s appearance is also a debut in the city.
