“Burn” with Boy Golden and the Church of Better Daze

Second Song from For Eden out Today
New Fall Tour Dates Announced

Boy Golden takes a big yet rightful swing in his new song “Burn,” from forthcoming album For Eden, out July 19, 2024. On “Burn,” Boy Golden deals big time appreciation for his bandmates and best friends, and for the music they create together on stage. The accompanying video captures the essence of the band’s chemistry with each other and with sold-out audiences across the country.

The sweetly boastful song finds Boy Golden in his natural elements with earthy guitars, fluid vocals and genuine affection. With gentle backing vocals supplied by FONTINE and longtime drummer/collaborator Roman Clarke, “Burn” captures the artists’ intimacy, mutual respect and sheer delight at playing together.

Listen to “Burn” here.

“I’ve always believed that songs can come true – maybe ‘Burn’ is me trying to sing my big dream into existence,” says Boy Golden. “In truth, I already live a dream of mine – we may not be on a bus (yet), but my friends and I get on stage every night and we Burn it down. When I’m up there with my people, I know where I belong. I love this short and sweet song, and I love to watch this video, as it takes us from a bedroom recording to a sold-out theater in my hometown.”

“Burn” is the second song released from Boy Golden’s forthcoming album, For Eden, out July 19, 2024. Utopic and wistful, For Eden is a continuation of the artist’s “follow your art” creative philosophy that began with his Church of Better Daze debut.

With today’s song release comes news of the next headline tour, a stretch of dates this fall that will zig-zag back and forth across the border, with stops in Toronto at the historic Opera House, Boy Golden’s largest Toronto show yet, as well as in Boston, Calgary, Vancouver and more. The tour culminates at the famed Burton Cummings Theatre in Boy Golden’s hometown of Winnipeg, MB.

About Boy Golden:

Boy Golden is Liam Duncan and a revolving cast of longtime friends and collaborators known as the Church of Better Daze (many formidable artists in their own right) including FONTINE, Austin Parachoniak, Roman Clarke, Dani Nash and more. Boy Golden found success on his debut LP, Church of Better Days, with breakout hit “KD and Lunch Meat” hitting #1 at Canadian Alternative radio. Subsequent tours saw sell-outs across the country, a festival headline play at Winnipeg Folk Fest, slots at Osheaga, Edmonton and Calgary Folk Festivals, Rifflandia, Saskatoon Jazz Festival and more, demonstrating Boy Golden’s ability to be a musical chameleon and fit in just as well at a country festival as he does at a rock show. The last year saw the band touring across the US with the Paper Kites and Lucero, and a breakout slot at AmericanaFest in 2023 resulting in being signed by talent giant WME. Liam is also a producer and prolific songwriter, collaborating with William Prince, Leith Ross, Cat Clyde, FONTINE, and many more.
