Six Shooter Records adds a Marketing & Creative Coordinator with a business degree and a cutting-edge artistic vision.
Six Shooter Records officially welcomes Katarina Duma, a second new addition to the Marketing Department. Duma was recently hired for the position of Marketing & Creative Coordinator, and brings both a business degree from Rotman Commerce and extensive overseas experience in applied art, music and film production to the label.
Duma’s impressive range of skills, from project management and database expertise to her keen artistic sensibility, make her a perfect fit for the position. Based in the Toronto office, Duma’s role will encompass administrative and creative spheres, with a focus on developing cohesive visual elements for artists and the label. “With artists and their audiences closer now than ever, being multidimensional is the key to making a lasting impression. My goal at Six Shooter is to continue to develop strong visual identities for our artists,” says Duma.
President Shauna de Cartier reinforces the importance of creating visuals that meet and reflect the standard of excellence established by the music: “More than ever, we need to make sure that the visual presentation of our artists, including photos and videos, is the perfect reflection of their artistic vision. Katarina brings a cutting-edge vision and artistic style to Six Shooter that will elevate and enhance our artists’ ability to cut through a very cluttered marketplace.”
Katarina Duma and Haylen McCarty (welcomed last week) represent a new wave of talent and ingenuity. It’s an exciting time at Six Shooter, and recent internal growth will help the label keep pace with the ever-increasing scope of releases and success of the roster. The new additions to the marketing department and the recently created Publishing & Licensing Division will increase capacity and drive new business. Katarina Duma is a graduate of Rotman Commerce at the University of Toronto, who has worked worldwide in the fields of fashion, music and film production. Now back in Toronto after her most recent base in Berlin, Katarina will bring her knowledge of these fields together to add a creative flair to the Six Shooter roster.
