NYSSA Shares New Song “Werewolf”
See NYSSA at Pop Montreal, Halloween in Toronto, M for Montreal This Fall

As Spirit Halloween reappears on streets and strip malls, so too the season for NYSSA’s “Werewolf” has arrived.

On her new song, NYSSA bursts through from the other side, baring quips sharp as teeth. Linked as it is to outsiders and teens on the brink, here our “Werewolf” urge is to cut and run from responsibility, all the money, metros and monotony that stifle our inner howls. Arriving with the autumn equinox, “Werewolf” signals change, whether you’re turning from your adolescent self into an adult, or leaving the city for the woods.

NYSSA’s “Werewolf” cruises and prowls, full of tightly wound energy seeking connection and release. When the chorus erupts, NYSSA’s boundless expression celebrates breaking free of everything. Raw, new, altered: we are all changed. A key piece of NYSSA’s folkloric, cathartic journey, “Werewolf” is a momentous reckoning that invites you to transform, too.

Listen to “Werewolf” here.

NYSSA’s first new single of 2023, the riotous “Breakup Party,” is currently climbing the CBC Music Top 20 chart. Her Elysian take on “A Case of You,” recorded for the Polaris Music Prize Cover Sessions, is also out now.

This fall, NYSSA will appear at both Pop Montreal and M for Montreal, as well as at two special Halloween shows in Toronto. Tickets and details here.
