Whitehorse starts on the Road to Massey Hall

This Saturday marks the day we have been waiting and planning for a long time… STAFF SPA DATE!!!! Oh, and also the launch of the Whitehorse Canadian tour, which kicks off at the fantastic Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, and rides the white horse across the country to debut performances at some of the best venues in the country, such as the Burton Cummings Theatre in Winnipeg and, OMG, Massey Hall in Toronto!!

To celebrate our excitement about this hallmark milestone on the Whitehorse journey, the prolific duo have recorded six cover songs by artists famously attached to Massey Hall, such as “Winterlong” by Neil Young, “If You Could Read My Mind” by Gordon Lightfoot, “Dark Angel” by Blue Rodeo, and more. Watch for a series of stunning and intimate (intimate as in “up close and personal”, not as in “performed in undies”) live videos we’re launching over the next month. These recordings will also be available on iTunes, and through digital downloads delivered on screen-printed posters (available at the merchandise table at Whitehorse concerts) designed by our long time pal and artistic collaborator Tyler Clark Burke.

A number of the shows are already sold out (Victoria, Calgary, Red Deer, Lethbridge) and moving fast in other cities. See below for ticket links. We’re super stoked that for the first time ever in Canada, commercial radio stations are starting to get on the horse. CBC, college radio, and CKUA have been super supportive from the beginning, and we’re pleased to add Live88.5 in Ottawa, X92.9 in Calgary, Live105 in Halifax, KIXX in Kingston, XM The Verge, and a bunch of others to the party. Stay tuned, more stations are jumping on board every week!
