THE WET SECRETS DEBUT THEIR HAIR-FLIPPIN' VIDEO FOR "I CAN SWING A HAMMER."
The Wet Secrets present a glorious, hair-whipping thesis on the “virtuous futility of labour” with a new video for “I Can Swing A Hammer,” directed by drummer (and highly decorated filmmaker) Trevor Anderson.
“‘I Can Swing A Hammer’ is a song about getting’ shit done,” Anderson told Paste Magazine, which premiered the clip, “so we made the video in that spirit. Lead singer Lyle Bell built that hat hut with an actual hammer, so we got a lot of joy outta burning it to the ground.”
“I Can Swing A Hammer” is out now on an EP called I Can Live Forever. The new music is generating a ‘get in on the ground floor’ sentiment in recent reviews, and the band is gathering momentum in advance of SXSW and tour dates in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle.

“Equal parts art punk, space funk, and pop junk.” – No Depression
“Musically speaking, think early-’90s-alt-pop-meets-‘00s-indie shot through with a lethal dose of ’60s garage. Or better yet, don’t think, but instead just get your ass down…” – Georgia Straight
