RIIT UNLEASHES THE 'DOOMSQUAD' IN NEW #UVANGATTAUQ REMIX

Hitting with voluminous ferocity, the building breathing and beats of Riit’s #uvangattauq gets reimagined in this new remix from Toronto’s psych-electro-rock trio DOOMSQUAD.

The original track is inspired by the #MeToo movement (‘uvangattauq’ means ‘me too’ in Inuktitut), and features Riit’s labelmate Zaki Ibrahim over a thriving beat, the sounds of knives being sharpened to foreshadow the lyrical cuts to follow.

On this remix, DOOMSQUAD play with both Riit’s vocals, sung in Inuktitut and Zaki’s English refrain, layering the two, pulsing and twisting them as though averting glares and snares. A thoroughly danceable track.
