NQ Arbuckle Releases New Single "No Hands Bicycle"

NQ Arbuckle announces Love Songs For The Long Game, a new album out May 19, 2023. To introduce the collection, the two-time JUNO Award nominees share a new song “No Hands Bicycle,” today. In more Spring news, NQ Arbuckle joins Whitehorse’s tour with shows across Ontario in May-June, 2023.

New song “No Hands Bicycle” is a fitting official introduction to the collection as a whole, a reminder that it’s never too late to pick up where you left off. A commitment to perseverance, “No Hands Bicycle” opts to keep on swimming against the tide. What other choice is there?

The album’s title track was first released in April 22, 2020 in response to the circumstances. As it turned out, the long game hadn’t even started yet; it was only the beginning. An evergreen ode to sticking together through thick and thin, the song remains a potent balm for navigating uncertainties large and small. Now, from this vantage the song, and now album title, bears out, landing somewhere between an astute mantra for the times and self-fulfilling prophecy.

Listen to “No Hands Bicycle” and “Love Songs For The Long Game” here.

On their fifth album, NQ Arbuckle reunite with Luke Doucet, who produced their now-classic Six Shooter Records debut. Reassuringly familiar, if a little bit flashier, the album’s blend of roots rock with new additions of banjo and synths find NQ Arbuckle in fine form. Not fully nostalgic, not simply regretful, Love Songs For The Long Game is for those who seek balance between constancy and recklessness, between last call and first light.

Six Shooter Records will release Love Songs For The Long Game on May 19, 2023.
