JON BOX SOX DRIVE YIELDS 1071 TORONTO SOCKS
There will be 1071 pairs of fresh warm winter socks out to those in need of them this holiday – and that’s only in Toronto. Y’all have melted our hearts with the warmth and kindness in your own.
A huge Thank You to all who donated to our Jon Box Sox Drive and to those of you who helped collect and organize, including the very awesome Kristyn Box McCoy (Jon’s sister) and her husband Dan. The count includes collected socks from donation points at Soundscapes in Toronto and Grooves Records in London, ON.
On Friday, December 20, Six Shooter staffers in Toronto delivered socks to Sistering West Neighbourhood House, Haven Toronto Shelter, Evangeline House and Red Door Family Shelter, where the donation were made in Jon Box’s name.
We still have more fancy footwork to come. We are awaiting counts from our friends and donation points across the country at Red Cat Records in Vancouver, both Blackbyrd Myoozik in Edmonton and Calgary, X-Ray Records in Regina and Taz Records in Halifax, so stay tuned for further Jon Box Sox updates arriving post-holidays.
It feels good to give.
