Six Shooter is delighted to welcome T. Thomason to the label roster with new music planned for 2023. A singularly talented, multi-hyphenated performer on stage and screen, Halifax-based T. Thomason is rightly on the radar as an important artist to be heard, for his songs and his perspective. Honest, vulnerable yet firmly standing his ground, T. Thomason is ready to meet what’s ahead with uncommon composure and creative energy.

“This next chapter with Six Shooter has already pushed me to new discoveries about myself and my music. I’m so excited to continue the journey with their stellar team and share the new tunes with the world,” says Thomason. “The songs I’m working on are labours of love in every sense. I hope that will come through and wrap people up.”

As featured in Elle’s Canadian Artists to Watch in 2023, Thomason has started the year strong with his SXSW debut, his turn in new tv series Sullivan’s Crossing (airing on CTV), and this week, he appears on CBC Q to mark International Transgender Day of Visibility. T. Thomason joins host Tom Power to discuss his cover of “Lovers in a Dangerous Time,” how T. has reimagined the classic as a new queer anthem, and the role the song played in signing his new record deal.

“I was blown away by T.’s striking interpretation of that song,” says Six Shooter Records President Shauna de Cartier. “I’ve since gotten to know T. and I believe that the music and the perspectives that he has to share will make the world a better place. We are thrilled to be a part of his journey.”

ABOUT T. THOMASON

Thoughtful and true, T. Thomason’s songs shine through the darkness in the world. Since he began releasing music as a teenager, Halifax-based Thomason has been on a journey of discovery. Lead by curiosity as his way of being, Thomason approaches songwriting as a commitment to “Say tough things tenderly,” a practice that reveals an impressive depth of wisdom, clarity and courage in the young artist. Thomason’s attentive, confident presence is felt in all aspects of his music, in songs that build from ballad to banger, in songs that balance confession, confrontation and resolution, in songs that lay it all bare. Highly recommended for sweet bbs in their truest colours, and specifically guaranteed for fans of MUNA, Maggie Rogers, Troye Sivan and Kim Petras.
