“Telling his truth and confronting transphobia through song.” – CBC q

Thomason continues to preview forthcoming album, Tenderness, with “Boyfriend,” a new song out today. In this gender bent pop rock banger, T. Thomason adds his own undeniable strut to the denim and leather swagger. With its classic rock rolodex and sonic callback, “Boyfriend” is a playful yet purposeful flipping of gender scripts.

Feel like a new man, watch “Boyfriend,” featuring queer icon, drag king and burlesque performer Gay Jesus, here:

Created around central themes of self-affirmation and self-determination, the new album Tenderness is an expression of queer and trans liberation. With Tenderness, T. Thomason reminds us that intimacy can only be offered, never taken. At times heartwrenching, hungering, hopeful, occasionally horny, Tenderness is always honest. Earnest and genuine with its truths, the collection is centered around T.’s own journey, shared for the purpose of finding connection and joy with others.

In addition to the album release, T. Thomason and Tenderness collaborator Joel Waddell again teamed up to create the score and soundtrack for “Really Happy Someday,” a queer coming-of-age story that recently premiered at TIFF. The film’s 100% trans community soundtrack features songs by Russell Louder, Mal Blum, Lane Webber, Pillow Fite, Lucas Silveira, Ceréna, Sofia Fly, Transstar and more.

Listen to “Boyfriend” hereTenderness will be released on October 25, 2024 by Six Shooter Records.
